The Council of the EU has finally adopted new measures to make packaging more sustainable and reduce packaging waste in the EU. The adopted regulation includes, among other things, targets for reducing packaging by five percent by 2030, by 10 percent by 2035 and by 15 percent by 2040.

Svet EU je dokončno sprejel nove ukrepe za bolj trajnostno embalažo in zmanjšanje količine odpadne embalaže v EU. Sprejeta uredba med drugim vključuje cilje glede zmanjšanja količine embalaže za pet odstotkov do leta 2030, za 10 odstotkov do leta 2035 in za 15 odstotkov do leta 2040.
