EMA authorizes new technique for injecting the vaccine against Monkeypox to cover more people
Currently, the vaccine was only authorized for subcutaneous injections (under the skin) and will now also be able to be used intradermally (injection just below the upper layer of the skin), provided it is in a lower dose.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved, this Friday, the administration of the Imvanex vaccine intradermally (on the skin). So far, the vaccine was only authorized for subcutaneous injection (under the skin). As the new method, it will be possible to immunize more people against the so-called monkey pox.
