According to a report by The Wall Street Journal on Sunday (March 22), in recent years, major U.S. airlines have been modifying existing aircraft or purchasing new ones in an effort to increase the proportion of premium seats, catering to passengers willing to pay higher prices for lie-flat seats and more legroom, and extracting more profit from each seat.
