The average daily price of gasoline in Germany reached 2.215 euros per liter on Wednesday, surpassing the previous record of 2.203 euros from March 2022, the German automobile association Adac said. Taking into account inflationary effects, the price has been higher several times before, including in 2012.
The fuel price has now exceeded the old record from the beginning of the Ukraine war. Diesel is even more expensive.
