- On Wednesday, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit announced a multi-year investigation concluded with $1.5 million in cash, drugs, and firearms seized across the Lower Mainland.
- Investigators targeted a drug trafficking network supplying Burnaby, Vancouver, Coquitlam, Richmond, New Westminster, and Surrey, with Staff Sgt. Sarbjit Sangha stating the network allegedly trafficked illicit substances into Northern British Columbia and Alberta.
- Police seized approximately 26 kilograms of cocaine, seven kilograms of methamphetamine, 12 long guns, and four handguns, while discovering five vehicles equipped with 'sophisticated' after-market hidden compartments and 250 kilograms of cocaine cutting agents.
- Four people were arrested, though charges have yet to be forwarded to the Crown. On May 3, police arrested a commercial truck driver at the Sunshine Hills Shopping Centre in Delta, seizing 10 one-kilogram bricks of cocaine and approximately $500,000.
- Jon MacIntyre, team leader for the North District Team, described the seizure as a 'meaningful disruption' in organized crime groups. CFSEU-BC stated the operation reflects commitment to enhancing public safety throughout British Columbia.
