County officials are considering a new approach to leasing county-owned farmland that could combine a longer lease term with improvements to the property’s drainage.

Work on a major scheme to improve drainage and reduce the risk of surface flooding along Rhymney High Street is scheduled to begin next week. Caerphilly County Borough Council has appointed Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited to carry out the project.
