Two executives of Dominos Pizza were tried for the misappropriation of 1.6 million euros on Friday 21 March. The fraud was noted in six restaurants of the brand. They could get four years in prison, including two years in prison.
Honoured orders, paid in cash or restaurant tickets, were cancelled and money recovered. The prosecutor claimed four years in prison, two of which were suspended.
The investigation was opened in 2022, after an ex-employee denounced an organized fraud system in the Dominos Pizza restaurant in Bethune.
The owner of 9 franchised restaurants and his supervisor are tried for fraud, money laundering and hidden work in organized gangs, as well as for participation in an association of criminals and subornation of witnesses.
