About 115,000 patients have malnutrition problems associated with the disease, but hospitals only track three out of ten inpatients, today warned an association of the area of clinical nutrition.
Patients who need food support with clinical nutrition have, since the beginning of this year, a state share of 69% for enteric nutrition, which will increase to 90% next year.
The ANID warns that about 115,000 people suffer from malnutrition associated with the disease, but the hospital screening is still very insufficient. The association defends the increase of the diagnoses, the improvement of the state's participation in oral supplements and greater support in the return home.
