CHICAGO (WGN) — Former Chicago Bull and NBA MVP Derrick Rose is opening a pop-up flower shop for one day only in the Loop Thursday. According to a post on Rose's Instagram account, "Rose's Flower Shop" will be open from 12-4 p.m. at 350 North State Street. It appears former Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has traded in hoops for horticulture.  Well, at least for a day. On Thursday afternoon, Rose, who retired from the NBA last fall, collaborated with West Loop florist Planks & Pistils to host a special pop-up flower shop at Tortoise Supper Club in River North. Hundreds of fans lined up hours in advance to  snag free rose bouquets and a picture with their apron-clad icon.
