Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, revealed that Greece is discussing with Italy the supply of two second-hand minesweepers, during a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Guido Crosetto, in Venice. This potential acquisition is considered of utmost importance for the Navy, which currently has only two minesweepers of “limited capabilities”, following the loss of the “Callisto” in 2020.
