The Ministry of Defence on Tuesday signed a contract for the purchase of 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks for 3.98 billion kronor excluding VAT. The government approved the purchase in November, the ministry announced today the conclusion of the contract with the German company Rheinmetall Landsysteme. According to the plan, all tanks will be delivered to the Czech Army by the end of 2026.

Vláda nákup schválila již v listopadu, o uzavření kontraktu s německou firmou Rheinmetall Landsysteme dnes informovalo ministerstvo. Podle plánu budou všechny tanky dodány české armádě do konce roku 2026.

Two weeks after the government approved the purchase of 14 Leopard 2A4s, the Ministry of Defense on Tuesday signed a contract with their German manufacturer, Rheinmetall Landsysteme. The tanks will be delivered by the end of 2026 for less than four billion crowns without VAT.
