Czech businessman detained in China on espionage charges
A CZECH BUSINESSMAN, EMPLOYEE of a Czech radar manufacturer based in China, was detained by Chinese authorities in late June 2026 on suspicion of espionage, it has emerged. According to the Czech news outlet Denik N, which reviewed the relevant diplomatic correspondence, the charges concern “obtaining and passing on information without further specification”.
