The security situation, the issue of a permanent American base in Poland, and the situation surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal are to be – according to announcements – topics of the National Security Council convened by President Karol Nawrocki on Tuesday.
Tuesday's meeting of the National Security Council will be the first opportunity for a meeting between Nawrocki and Tusk following Friday's events at the Constitutional Tribunal. The head of government is expected to attend, as will Speaker of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty. It promises to be a heated discussion. "Braun, Kaczyński, and Nawrocki formed a brutal coalition on Saturday night," the leader of the New Left said on Monday.
All political forces will participate in tomorrow's meeting of the National Security Council, RMF FM journalist Kacper Wróblewski has determined. Even before Friday's escalation of the crisis surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal, President Karol Nawrocki convened a meeting for tomorrow with the government, representatives of the military, security services, and political parties.
The upcoming meeting of the National Security Council will not be limited to defense matters. The escalating dispute over the Constitutional Tribunal will also be on the table. Presidential spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz told Polsat News that recent events have directly undermined the country's stability, and the Presidential Chancellery is considering referring the matter to the prosecutor's office.
