Crash Causes Major Delays on A12 Near Colchester with SEVEN MILES of Congestion
AA Traffic Maps said journey times have risen to 15 minutes as emergency services respond and queues stretch back to Witham.
A major crash on the A12 forced the closure of the northbound carriageway between Junction 23 and 24 for Kelvedon, halting traffic flow on the busy Essex route.
Drivers are facing severe delays as traffic congestion from the closure stretches back to Junction 21 at Witham South and Junction 22 at Witham North.
Traffic Maps reports that journey times in the area have increased to around 15 minutes as emergency services work at the scene.
Authorities have contacted Essex Police, Essex County Fire, the Rescue Service, and the East of England Ambulance Service for comment regarding the incident at Junction 23.
Separately, a collision on the B1022 The Street in Heybridge near The Church is partially blocking the road, creating additional local disruption.
