- Officers responded to a call at approximately 10 a.m. and located the vehicle parked outside District 3 station on Northhaven Drive NW, prompting immediate investigation.
- Calgary Police Service Insp. Darren Smith confirmed the children were believed to be under age 10, noting the deaths are considered suspicious and the homicide unit has assumed the investigation.
- Smith stated there is no ongoing risk to public safety, and the Calgary Police Service deployed the Victim Assistance Support Team to support those affected.
- The medical examiner is working to identify the victims and determine cause of death, while investigators remain on scene collecting evidence for the ongoing investigation.
