Comedian Ken Marino gives theater a try with ‘Death Becomes Her’
Ken Marino leads the touring cast as Ernest Menville, with the musical adaptation drawing on the film’s dark comedy and effects-driven staging.
Actor Ken Marino stars in the North American tour of the musical "Death Becomes Her," performing alongside Jackie Burns, Kristen Beth Williams, and Michael Buchanan.
Because the production is a physical show, cast members must prioritize rest to manage performance demands. Marino noted this intensity distinguishes theater from his previous film work.
Marino noted theater allows performers to refine roles repeatedly, unlike film editing. "I get a little sore at the end because I'm a," he said of the physical toll.
Spanning North American cities, the tour visits Omaha, Nashville, Atlanta, and Boston through next year. This schedule allows the cast to experience diverse environments while performing.
Working with co-stars Burns and Williams provides constant creative spark, Marino explained. He emphasized the ensemble's vocal chemistry remains central to why he pursued the role.
