U.S. authorities seized 7,250 pounds of cocaine valued at approximately $54.5 million from a go-fast vessel about 50 nautical miles south of Puerto Rico. The Aug. 22 operation involved the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Richard Dixon and CBP Air and Marine Operations. Five suspected narco-terrorists were detained and 25 bales of contraband were seized.
