21-year-old singer Claude will represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland. The Dutch broadcaster, which has received hundreds of submissions, announced this on Thursday. Before applying, the singer visited a coach. “If he had said I wasn't mentally stable enough, I probably wouldn't have been the entry.”

De 21-jarige zanger Claude zal Nederland vertegenwoordigen op het Eurovisiesongfestival in Zwitserland. Dat maakte de Nederlandse omroep, die honderden inzendingen heeft gekregen, donderdag bekend. Voor hij zich kandidaat stelde, ging de zanger op bezoek bij een coach. “Als hij had gezegd dat ik mentaal niet stabiel genoeg was, dan was ik waarschijnlijk niet de inzending geweest.”
