Felix Banaszak has spoken out against an early change of chancellor. Merz should draw other consequences from the election results, said the Green Chief.
The vice-president of the Union, Middelberg, called the debate on the future of Chancellor Merz superfluous. Middelberg said in Deutschlandfunk that with another chancellor one would have the same problems in voting in the coalition as under Merz.
CDU politician Middelberg calls the debate about the chancellor "superfluous". However, reforms have to be "implemented more slowly". Meanwhile, the Young Union finds that no more elections can be won with Merz.
Survey values fall, the support, also in the own party, disappears: Merz is under pressure. Minister of State Amthor defends the chancellor, but pokes for "better results".
