Cat rescued after surviving 8 hours inside car engine alone
A cat named Nala survived eight hours trapped inside a car engine in Walsall, West Midlands, with the vehicle's heat possibly helping to prevent fatal blood loss.
Nala was found wedged inside the pulley system of a red Peugeot after the driver noticed warning lights and smoke from the engine on the morning of August 16.
RSPCA officer Cara Gibbon reported that Nala had serious injuries with exposed bone on her right forelimb.
Rescuers removed part of the car's wheel arch to free Nala and rushed her to emergency treatment.
