Francisco Carvalho responds for corruption, peculate, abuse of power and forgery, among others. Crimes will have been practiced between 2020 and 2026 in the Praia Chamber.
The 26 crimes, which include fraud, embezzlement, and abuse of power, were allegedly committed while Francisco Carvalho was in charge of the Praia City Council. Three council members were also indicted.
On the list are five crimes of falsification of public documents, five crimes of abuse of power, three crimes of peculat, three other crimes of misrepresentation of advantage and three crimes of violation of budgetary implementation rule
The Public Prosecutor's Office (MP) accuses the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Francisco Carvalho, of 26 crimes allegedly committed when he presided over the Praia Chamber, from 2020 to this year, according to the document to which Lusaka had access today.
In the list is the five crimes of falsification or of public documents, five crimes of abuse of power, three crimes of peculat, other crimes of undue receipt of advantage and three crimes of violation of the norm of execution of the oramental.
