The highest VAT rate will increase from 21 to 21.4 percent next year. At least, that is what the government has in store to plug a hole in the budget. An increase in the highest rate means that the prices of clothing, your streaming subscription, a new kitchen or a car will increase.

Het hoogste btw-tarief gaat volgend jaar omhoog van 21 naar 21,4 procent. Dat is althans wat het kabinet in petto heeft om een gat in de begroting te dichten. Een verhoging van het hoogste tarief betekent dat de prijzen op kleding, je streamingabonnement, een nieuwe keuken of een auto omhooggaan.
