Bugatti Just Restored a One-Off Veyron With a Mirror-Like Aluminum Body
Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang removed aftermarket changes and returned the 1,184-horsepower hypercar to its mirror-like factory finish.
- Bugatti restored its one-of-one Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, chassis 8.100, to original factory specifications using the automaker's La Maison Pur Sang program. The restoration removed aftermarket modifications and returned the car's mirror-like polished aluminum finish to day-one perfection.
- Originally commissioned in 2014, the hypercar required massive aluminum blocks weighing 20 tons to construct its exposed polished body. It remains one of the most unique iterations produced by the Bugatti Atelier.
- Underneath the metal, an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine produces 1183 horsepower and tops out at 254 mph. The interior features Carmine Red leather accented by exposed carbon fiber and polished aluminum trim.
- The vehicle reportedly sold for $5 million earlier this year to a new owner now residing on the French Riviera. Racing legend Fernando Alonso was recently seen driving the car through Monaco.
- Maintaining the mirror finish requires significant care, as the supercar has been returned to day-one perfection. It has been about 12 years since the custom-made Veyron's original reveal, underscoring its enduring rarity.
