Brits would rather have luck over fame, popularity - and even love
A poll of 2,000 adults found 57% prize everyday luck over fame, popularity and love, as Lotto opens a themed café.
Lotto will open 'Two Yolks: Lotto's Luckiest Caf' in London from June 12 to 13, celebrating an OnePoll study showing 57 per cent of Brits value everyday luck more than fame, popularity, or even love.
The pop-up promotes the 'one ticket two chances' campaign, where players receive two chances to win for every £2 line they buy, aiming to bring that optimistic feeling to life in a memorable way.
Guests can enjoy lucky dishes, including a double-yolk fry-up and brioche pastries inspired by a classic Bakewell Tart, while dining to a soundtrack inspired by the 44 per cent who play lucky songs before important moments.
Richard Dawnkins, managing director of Digital at Allwyn, said people have always recognized lucky moments, noting that 48 per cent of adults claim shared experiences are more likely to lead to something good.
Four in 10 believe good luck comes in pairs, inspiring the cafe's theme; the experience will feature sittings at 10:10am and 2:22pm as a playful nod to angel numbers often seen as a symbol of luck.
