Boy, 5, died after mirror fell on him in department store in Colchester, inquest told
A five-year-old boy, Freddie Farrow, died from a "catastrophic brain injury" after a mirror fell on him in a Fenwick store in Colchester, Essex, on 27 July 2021.
The mirror, weighing between 60kg and 80kg and measuring 2.6 meters high, fell after Freddie touched it with "very little force".
Freddie was taken to Colchester Hospital and later to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where he died on 2 August 2021.
His mother, Natasha Ingham, described him as "cheeky and funny and clever," while his father expressed that it "feels like part of our world is missing.
