A court in North Rhine-Westphalia has ruled that a university professor is not permitted to conduct experiments in which live mice are surgically joined together.
The Kölner Verwaltungsgericht prohibited a professor from Bonn University for a scientific attempt to sew two living mice together. The verdict was passed at noon.
Two mice are supposed to have a common bloodstream. The Administrative Court of Cologne decides on this animal experiment.
