Blokker has been sold. The retail chain announced this in a press release. The as yet unknown buyer ‘aims to rebuild the Blokker formula in the coming period’. Blokker was declared bankrupt in November. It is still unclear how many of the 45 franchise branches will cooperate with the restart.

Blokker's curators have found a buyer for the company's brand rights, assets and webshop. The buyer, who is not named in a statement, aims to "rebuild the Blokker formula in the coming period and to work together with the approximately 45 franchise branches." These branches were not included in the bankruptcy, the remaining of the almost 400 Blokker stores will close their doors on December 31.

De curatoren van Blokker hebben een koper gevonden voor de merkrechten, de activa en de webshop van het bedrijf. De koper, die in een verklaring niet bij naam wordt genoemd, streeft ernaar „om de Blokkerformule de komende periode weer op te bouwen en samen te werken met de circa 45 franchisefilialen”. Deze filialen vielen buiten het faillisement, de overige van de bijna 400 Blokker-winkels sluiten op 31 december hun deuren.
