Real Madrid Extend Winning Run with 3-0 Victory at Racing Santander
Kylian Mbappé’s disputed spot kick set up Madrid’s sixth straight win, and Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande added goals before halftime.
- On Sunday, Real Madrid took an early lead against Racing Santander after Kylian Mbappe was awarded a controversial 10th-minute penalty from minimal contact by midfielder Lucas Prati, a decision upheld by VAR despite home protests.

- Mbappe's penalty goal meant he has now scored against all 24 teams he has faced in LaLiga; midfielder Jude Bellingham extended the lead to 2-0, and Diomande added a third with a volley before halftime.

- Controversy surrounding the penalty has renewed questions about VAR decision consistency in Spanish soccer, with the disparity between the two penalty appeals illustrating challenges officials face when applying technology during high-stakes matches.
