N.J. man admits lying to get nearly $1M in COVID loans

A Union County man admitted to forging documents and lying about a business he owned in order to receive almost $1 million in COVID-19 Payroll Protection Loans, officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Tuesday. Joseph McKeon, also known as Jay McKeon, 54, of Westfield pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to one count each of wire fraud and money laundering, officials said.
