Case goes back to the period between 2024 and 2025, when two police officers have assaulted people detained in the Rat's station. Judge has already considered there to be "serious probability" of conviction of the two agents.
The 22- and 26-year-old cops violently assaulted the detained and filmed the abuses. The victims were mostly drug addicts, suspected of small crimes, foreigners in an irregular or homeless situation.
The trial of the two police officers of the Rato station in Lisbon begins this Friday at 09:30 with the two agents responding to justice for a series of crimes that include torture, rape, abuse of power and offense to physical integrity.

Punches, stoned, crowned and sexual abuse are part of the charges against two PSP agents. Some of the alleged assaults will have been filmed and the images shared in WhatsApp groups with dozens of other police officers.
