(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Using money allegedly embezzled, Mr. Pips Pho Duc Nam purchased 32 properties. The indictment states that Nam once used over 6 billion VND to buy an apartment for his girlfriend, then demanded it back after they broke up.
During a search of Nguyen Thanh Tam's 28 billion VND apartment, the girlfriend of Mr. Pips, police discovered 94kg of gold, tens of billions of VND in cash, and a collection of Hermès and Chanel bags and luxury watches.
Mr. Pips allowed his girlfriend to use money he obtained through crime to buy an apartment in Masteri Thao Dien; when they broke up, the defendant demanded the apartment back.
