18-Year-Old Accused of Posting Instagram Photos Threatening to Kill Trump, Shoot up School
Federal investigators say Trenton Touch also threatened a school shooting and praised mass shooters in Instagram posts, while authorities found a firearm at his home.
Trenton Touch of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, faced federal charges for allegedly threatening to kill President Donald Trump on Instagram, following investigators' discovery of violent content across four accounts.
Federal investigators allege Touch, a white supremacist, used the four Instagram accounts to threaten violence, with posts dating back to June 21, 2026, including threats to commit a school shooting.
Authorities discovered a revolver-style firearm, camouflage clothing, a ballistic helmet, and military-style knives during a search of Touch's residence; he faces state charges including improper storage of a firearm and remains held on $50,000 cash bail.
Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus said the FBI investigation "may have prevented a mass casualty incident and saved lives," with Touch scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston on Nov. 9.
Touch allegedly referred to mass shooters as "heroes" and made references to the Christchurch shootings in New Zealand that killed 51 people, raising concerns about racially motivated violent extremism.
