Aritzia Q2 Profit Roughly Triples to $201.7 Million as U.S. Revenues Grow
Aritzia said U.S. revenue reached nearly $780 million as quarterly net income rose 204% and it raised its full-year outlook.
On Thursday, Aritzia reported second-quarter net revenue climbed 44.1 percent to $1.17 billion, while net income surged 204.2 percent to $201.7 million.
Growth was fueled by the United States, where revenues reached $779.4 million, and a 68 percent surge in digital channel sales. Jennifer Wong, chief executive officer, cited broad-based strength across geographies and categories.
Comparable sales rose 34.5 percent, while disciplined execution drove a record 21 percent adjusted EBITDA margin. Helping the bottom line was $97.4 million in tariff refunds received during the quarter.
Encouraged by strong performance, Aritzia boosted its full-year guidance to between $4.78 billion and $4.88 billion. The company expects third-quarter revenues to range from $1.275 billion to $1.325 billion.
The company appointed Valerie Hermann, a former executive at Yves Saint Laurent, to its board of directors. Aritzia sees potential to operate upward of 200 stores in the United States alone.
