April's total solar eclipse promises to be the best yet for experiments

The first total solar eclipse in the United States since 2017 will happen on April 8, 2024. The next one won't happen again in the Lower 48 states for another 20 years. The path of the solar eclipse will enter the U.S. along the southwest border of Texas, and then travel northeast through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont and Maine.
