According to L'Est Républicain, the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the removal of the owner of the gîte, where eleven people, including ten adults with disabilities, died on 9 August 2023 in a fire. The owner could be tried for "obviously deliberate breach of a particular obligation of caution or safety which inadvertently caused death or injury."

More than three years after this tragedy, which resulted in 11 deaths on 9 August 2023, the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office requested that the owner of the house be returned to the correctional court for "obviously deliberate breach of a special obligation of prudence or security which inadvertently caused death or injury".
