Congo government says it's 'on alert' over mystery flu-like disease that killed dozens
Congo's government is on alert regarding a mystery flu-like disease that has resulted in 71 confirmed deaths, according to Health Minister Roger Kamba.
The deaths occurred in the Panzi health zone of Kwango province between November 10 and November 25.
Symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, cough, and anemia, as stated by the authorities.
Another unidentified disease is spreading in the countryside in the southwestern parts of Congo-Kinshasa. A 30-number death has been confirmed, but the data on the number goes unnoticed.
