Alfi PE has sold the investment it acquired five years ago to merge baby and maternity product providers Baby Center, Pikapoka and Apollo. The new owner of the Baby Center group is the Hungarian Talentis Group, which owns the Brendon children's store chain. The transaction will be completed next year, the purchase price is unknown.
Following a successful agreement, Talentis Group Zrt., a subsidiary of the Mészáros Group, signed a purchase agreement with the Slovenian ALFI Private Equity Fund and other small owners, according to which the market-leading baby, mother and children's store chain Baby Center in Slovenia, Croatia and North Macedonia will become 100 percent owned by Talentis Group Zrt. through Alfi Kids d.o.o.
After the Brendon Group, the Mészáros Group is expanding its portfolio with another baby, maternity and children's store chain. Thanks to the successful agreement, they can be even more effective in the international market, according to the company group's announcement.
