Acer Just Announched a 1,000Hz Gaming Monitor that Doesn’t Sacrifice 1080p
The 24.5-inch display reaches a native 1,000Hz at FHD and adds VRB Pro, FreeSync Premium and G-Sync for esports play.
- At IFA 2026, Acer unveiled the Predator XB253Q U1, the company's first gaming monitor delivering a 1,000Hz refresh rate at native FHD resolution without requiring resolution reduction.
- While Acer technically introduced the 1,000Hz Predator XB273U F6 at CES earlier this year, that monitor was limited to 720p resolution at its max refresh rate, prompting the redesign.
- The 24.5-inch IPS display features Acer's VRB Pro blur-reduction technology with a claimed 0.3ms response time, plus AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync support with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
