A three-car collision occurred this morning at the intersection of the New England Highway and Burgmanns Lane in Tamworth, disrupting traffic across all directions.
Paramedics arrived shortly before 8am to stabilize four patients suffering from minor injuries at the scene, which occurred roughly seven kilometres south east of the CBD.
After stabilization, three drivers and one passenger were transported to Tamworth hospital for further treatment, with at least one vehicle requiring towing from the scene.
Drivers faced slower-than-usual trips on the city's outskirts as police closed the road while emergency services managed the incident and cleared the vehicles.
