Figure skater Niina Petrõkina made Estonian figure skating history on Friday when she won the gold medal in the women's singles at the European Championships in Tallinn. Petrõkina earned 139.24 points for her free skate and a total of 208.18 points, improving her personal best by more than 13 points and the previous Estonian record by more than six points.

Iluuisutaja Niina Petrõkina tegi reedel Eesti iluuisutamise ajalugu, kui võitis Tallinnas toimuvatel Euroopa meistrivõistlustel naiste üksiksõidus kuldmedali. Petrõkina teenis vabakava eest 139,24 ja kokku 208,18 punkti ehk tema isiklik tippmark paranes enam kui 13 ning senine Eesti rekord enam kui kuue punktiga.
