- Following a five-year investigation, the IDF Missing Persons Unit determined Formet was buried in a mass grave at Maoz Haim alongside 16 other soldiers who fell in the same War.
- Senior IDF officials informed the Family on Tuesday of the findings; the Family described the moment as a message of "Exodus from Egypt' from years of uncertainty and darkness."
- A state military ceremony is expected in the near future at Maoz Haim military cemetery; however, several soldiers from the same battle, including Shmuel Bernstein and Yaakov Leibovitz, remain unlocated.
