A Marlborough, Massachusetts, resident died Wednesday morning after a fire broke out in a single-family home.

A fire burned through a Marlborough home on Wednesday, leaving one person in the home dead, State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine’s office announced.“On behalf of the Marlborough Fire Department, I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family that lost a loved one this morning,” Marlborough Fire Chief Kevin J. Breen said in the statement released by Davine’s office.
