According to a report in the sports newspaper "L'Équipe", the former serial champions Olympique Lyon are facing forced relegation to the second French league. Due to immense debts of around half a billion euros, France's football finance regulator has given the club a suspended relegation to Ligue 2 for the next season, it said.
