CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A high-ranking official with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office resigned Friday, making scathing claims about Sheriff Garry McFadden.  In his resignation letter, which MCSO officials say they received, now-former Chief Deputy Kevin Canty accused McFadden of “running the agency into the ground” and that it “functions like a third-world dictatorship.”
