The aircraft overran the runway around 2 p.m. after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and plowed across a road used by warehouse workers and other businesses that surround the airport.
An Amazon cargo aircraft left the runway and set fire to Miami International Airport, killing at least five people, reporting to the United States media.
"We are heartbroken to learn that five people lost their lives in today's incident at Miami International Airport. Our deepest condolences go to families, loved ones and all those affected by this devastating loss," said spokesperson Kelly Nantel.
Five people died as a result of an incident involving a cargo aircraft leaving the runway at Miami airport, which was reported by the head of the Miami-Dade Daniella district, Levin Kawa.
