By far my favorite news app. It feeds you even more articles than the others do, just organized in a way that keeps things from getting overwhelming. The blind spot feature is really useful for finding the stories that slip through the cracks. On top of all of that, they are really dedicated to having great customer service. Really the best news app out there, well worth the 5/5 I gave it.

I'm a news junkie, I have more news apps on my phone than I do games, this one honestly beats them all. It reports all the news sources and shows you how left or right or center any of them are, plus you can read the same article from multiple sources and see how they all tell the same story differently. Please check them out and give them a try!!!

Does Ground have a political agenda?Ground does not have a political agenda. The news on our platform is sourced from publications across the political spectrum and rated using independent third-party news monitoring organizations. Our goal is to provide readers with access to the information available and provide context about the source of the information so they can make informed decisions.
Where does the news on Ground come from?Ground News aggregates articles from more than 50,000 local, national and international news publications around the world including newspapers, magazines, blogs and even some trending social media content. If you can’t find your favorite news publication on Ground, you can submit it for review within the app by going to Settings > Support > Suggest News Source.
How do I know the news is real and accurate?Ground News checks publicly available information about each source on our platform. For example, how long has the source existed? Do they have a social presence? Do they have a Wikipedia page? Is ownership information available? How often is the source reporting on the same issues as other reputable publications?
That said, we are not a fact checker. The reality is, it is very hard to fact-check effectively in real time and at scale. Our solution is not to be the arbiters of truth but to help readers analyze news coverage through direct comparison, which highlights how outlets equivocate or exaggerate. Satire sources are allowed but clearly labeled.
How does Ground provide a Bias Rating on news stories? The Ground News bias ratings are calculated using three independent news monitoring organizations: All Sides, Ad Fontes Media, and Media Bias Fact Check. This score does not measure the bias of specific news articles. It is an assessment of the political bias of the publication. The rating takes into consideration things like the wording, story choices and political affiliation of the outlet.

How does Ground decide what news stories to show me?We don’t use readers’ browsing history to manipulate the news they see. Instead, we prioritize timely stories that are receiving coverage from many different sources. These stories can be found in the Top Stories tab. Readers can select from multiple editions (International, US, Canada, etc.) to ensure they are getting relevant content for their region.
For readers who want more personalization, they can select topics to follow based on their interests. These stories will show up in the My Feed tab. Any changes the reader makes to their preferred topics/sources will be reflected here.
Ground News is supported by our subscribers.Ground News is made possible through your support. We ask readers who see value in what we’re doing to purchase a subscription so we can continue to build tools that help people navigate an increasingly complex media landscape.
