The ZDF has apologized for errors in a contribution to deportations of minors in the USA.
An AI-generated video illustrating deportations by the U.S. agency ICE in ZDF provided a shitstorm. A classification did not exist. "The way the ZDF reacts to it is almost worse than the video itself," says media scientist Norbert Bolz.
In the ZDF "today journal" AI-generated images were shown unmarked. After the station has already admitted and corrected its error, the ZDF is now apologizing to its viewers.
Two recordings in the post were not real. Meanwhile, the sequences are deleted.
