WTX city breaks rainfall records with Midland rain forecasted

Dryden, a city in West Texas about two and a half hours south of Midland, broke two rainfall records this week. The city received 4.38 inches of rain on Aug. 16, breaking the previous record of 3.61 inches set on Sept. 19, 2013. Dryden also broke a two-day rainfall record with a combined 6.27 inches falling on Monday and Tuesday.
