COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KTLO)--What began as a 1,000- to 2,000-acre fire at Fort Carson on Wednesday has now grown to 5,000 to 7,000 acres, according to Fort Carson officials. Residents can now see the smoke from Interstate 25. The fire started during a training exercise involving soldiers. Fort Carson firefighters say they are working to contain the blaze.
