Voluntary evacuation advised in Tyler Co. low-lying areas prone to flooding below Dam B

Tyler County Emergency Management is announcing that the Corps of Engineers at Dam B will be opening the gates causing the Neches River to rise to between 78 and 79 ft. Tyler County Emergency Management and the Tyler County Judge are recommending a voluntary evacuation of Barlow Lake Estates, Sheffield Ferry, and Mount Neches and any other areas that areas that are low lying prone to flooding.
